First, let us invite you to consider a dream today.
Imagine a young adult who has grown up in an environment shaped by trauma, unsure how to move forward. Instead of continuing in cycles of vulnerability and instability, they have the opportunity to join a community that they can be known and supported in, and where they are given the tools needed to build a new future.
They begin to experience consistency, have the opportunity to view (and take part in) healthy relationships, and have a renewed understanding of their own identity. Through discipleship, time for healing, skill-building and daily rhythms of responsibility, they start to break patterns that once felt impossible to escape.
Over time, they move from survival to stability – gaining confidence in their ability to make choices, contribute meaningfully, and envision a future that reflects their potential rather than their past.
From stability to purpose – they begin to step into independence with practical skills, a sense of purpose, and the support of a group that celebrates progress, not perfection. What once felt impossible — breaking cycles, building healthy relationships, finding their voice — becomes real and achievable. In this space, they don’t just survive; they thrive.
In order to provide the opportunity to individuals to break these cycles of trauma and vulnerability we need your help securing a campus to house it. We have found a campus that would work wonderfully for our program. It was previously used as a women’s domestic violence campus and is already set up with a community center, classrooms, housing and beautiful outdoor space for quiet time with God. It is currently at auction that will close in 3 days. We are asking for help gathering funds to purchase it. Our fundraising goal is to raise 1.5 million dollars to help us secure the property and provided needed updates. We are starting from zero, we only just became aware of this property yesterday. That is a big ask in a short amount of time. But we have learned to never limit what God can accomplish. If you want to be a part of supporting what God is doing, please visit our donate page.
In 2023, the Holy Spirit put a desire for a deep Christ focused bible study and close relationships on our hearts. We wanted a study where our kids were learning beside us, learning the importance of their own relationship with Christ. And friendship with people who would celebrate with us the wins in life and know us at the worst time, being there to support us. We were craving deep biblical learning and growth on an intimate scale that the modern church was unable to provide. Working together we, Guy & Yvonne Keller with Gabe & Courtney Bailey, began leading a bible study that met every other Sunday night. Inviting friends, we were already meeting with regularly for community events.
In July 2024, we, the Kellers and the Baileys sat down to discuss where God wanted us to go. We had been leading the bible study together for about a year and knew that God had more in mind. That night God placed on our hearts the ministry that we now call Sage’s Glen and we accepted His calling to build a ministry that we didn’t understand at the time.
The small bible study, which we called a house church, that began in 2023, is now a small church plant, called The Burrows, being held in our home every Sunday night, growing through Christ in ways we couldn’t have dreamed of 3 years ago. The church isn’t where God ended our desire to serve though. We want to serve another need that we see in the world.
Us, along with The Burrows are working to form a ministry that serves young adults who have survived generational trauma and abuse. The young people we have had the opportunity to serve face cycles of abuse, neglect, addiction, unhealthy coping mechanisms or other harmful patterns of behavior that are difficult to break without intentional support. These are many of the leading struggles that cause mental health concerns in our society today and without intervention, these patterns often continue – not because individuals lack desire to change, but because they have never been shown another way. Many of these young adults enter adulthood without models for healthy relationships, stability, or identity. They often carry internalized beliefs shaped by their negative experiences. We have met many of them who have little or no experience with common life skills like cooking, time management and budgeting.
Even when help is available, it is often short-term and does not address the deeper need for help and identity transformation. There are few program environments that provide long-term, relational, and holistic healing within a safe, consistent community. Without long-term, structured environments that provide stability, mentorship, and access to practical life skill training, many of these young people struggle with the habits necessary to establish sustainable, and independent lives.
The Burrows Church believes that true transformation comes through Jesus Christ. We desire to not only meet the physical needs, but to see lives completely restored spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. We have designed a residential discipleship and development program rooted in community and doing life side-by-side. Program residents will participate in: Christ-centered discipleship, community living, life skill development, vocational training, mentorship and coaching.
Our desire is that this is not simply a program – but a way of life that fosters lasting transformation in individuals lives with an emphasis on consistency, healing, accountability and growth within a supportive environment.
We are working towards building The Burrows at Sage’s Glen, a working farm campus that will house both the church and young adult ministry, that will support healing, growth, and sustainability. The campus will include: A community center space for meals, areas for gathering together, outdoor areas for quiet meditation and healing, classroom spaces, residential housing for program participants and staff, gardens and agricultural spaces for growing food and training, workshops for vocational training, and for families to thrive. Every element designed to support both the practical needs and the deep restoration of every individual who enters our property.
Our current need is for a property that will house our campus. We know that God works miracles for His Glory, we need a miracle if this is the property that God has planned. Pray that God’s plans are made clear and if this is where he wants us that the funds will be provided. Second, if you can support what we are building financially, please contact us to make arrangements or visit our donate page. We are a non-profit 501C3 so we can provide you with a receipt for your donation upon request.
